Project Description

The NYPAA Experience is a two-week summer intensive that blends world-class performing arts training with cultural immersion in New York City. Each summer, three student groups — ages 9-12, ages 13-16, and ages 17 and older — join us from across the United States and around the globe. While all three groups train within the same New York City building, each has its own dedicated floor and/or studios, creating an age-appropriate environment where every student can focus, grow, and thrive. Each day offers a balance of focused training in acting, voice, dance, and stage performance, led by faculty who are working professionals in film, television, and Broadway.

Beyond the classroom, the program provides experiences that shape both the artist and the individual. Students attend Broadway productions, explore New York City landmarks, and collaborate on performance projects that showcase their growth. This immersion helps them see themselves not just as students, but as active participants in the cultural life of the city. Friendships are forged, skills are sharpened, and confidence flourishes in an environment that values every voice.

Every participant receives merit-based scholarship support, with additional aid available for students with financial need, ensuring that access is not determined by circumstance. Donor generosity makes this possible, covering tuition assistance, housing stipends, and program resources so that young artists can step fully into the experience.

The NYPAA Experience is more than a program — it is a turning point. For many, it is the first time training alongside peers from across the world, performing on New York stages, and envisioning a future where their dreams in the arts are not only possible but achievable. With continued support, we ensure this opportunity remains accessible to all who are ready to take the next step in their artistic journey.

Donor support makes this transformation possible. Every scholarship awarded, every housing stipend provided, and every meal shared is a direct result of generosity from those who believe in expanding access to the arts. By supporting The NYPAA Experience, you are investing in talent, resilience, and the cultural voices of tomorrow — ensuring that cost is never the barrier that keeps a young artist from discovering their true potential.

Why This Project Matters

It’s a transformative two-week program that exposes students to both professional arts training and cultural experiences in New York City.

High school and college students from across the U.S. and around the world, many traveling for their first time to New York.

Many cannot afford travel, housing, or tuition, which limits their ability to pursue the arts at a professional level.

Contributions fund scholarships, housing stipends, and even meals, ensuring every student can attend.

Students gain not just skills but also confidence, friendships, and exposure that can alter the trajectory of their lives.
