John L. Stepanian II is the Founder and CEO of The MusicSquared Foundation and The New York Performing Arts Academy (The NYPAA). With a vision to expand access to the arts and elevate talent, he has built one of the nation’s most respected independent performing arts organizations, serving students from across the United States and around the world.
Under his leadership, The New York Performing Arts Academy, The NYPAA Experience, The Conservatory at NYPAA, The Academy of Music Production and FutureStar Studios have empowered young performers through rigorous training, mentorship by industry professionals, and transformative opportunities in the studio and on stage and screen. Since 2010, John has guided The NYPAA into international prominence, while also championing initiatives that break down barriers—providing scholarships, emergency aid, housing support, and resources for students facing financial or personal hardship.
In 2023, John founded The MusicSquared Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing artistic excellence, inclusion, and advocacy. Through MusicSquared, he has expanded programming to include policy initiatives, community outreach, and direct support services for artists in need.
As both a creative entrepreneur and arts advocate, John combines deep industry knowledge with a steadfast belief in the power of the arts to transform lives. His leadership continues to shape programs that not only train the next generation of artists but also ensure that no student is left behind due to circumstance.
